Arenal Volcano

A visit to Arenal involves traveling through the Guanacaste Mountain Range where you will pass through local towns and villages. Upon arrival you will experience the great views and mild temperatures of Lake Arenal and rainforest. During a visit to a resort where you can swim in the hot springs and see Arenal Volcano. Your adventure will start with a 1 hour and 45 minutes bus ride through northern Guanacaste to the Buenavista Ranch near the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. Next, you will see the forest from a different prospective while swinging through the jungle on a high/wire 11 platform canopy tour. After lunch, you will go got a quick ride to the mud pots where you will have the chance to bask in a volcanic mud cover and swim in natural thermal pools.

PALO VERDE NATIONAL PARK

It is recommended tour for those who want to catch a glimpse of the local wild life. Palo Verde comprises dry forest, wetland and mangrove swamp, which is a perfect habitat for crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas, bats and many kinds of exotic birds. The boat boards at a location called Ballena Port on the Tempisque River, which is the nearest access to the park and then 2 hours boat tour. Gear needed: shorts, sandals, t shirt and binoculars. You will have the chance to hike up to the continental divide and observe the Gulf of Nicoya and Northern Plains. You will have the opportunity to do the sky walk in the real cloud forest to see frogs, snakes, butterflies, hummingbirds and insect' museum. Lunch included.
